Biography

Unami M. Sibanda is a lecturer in the Department of Banking and Economic Sciences. Unami has a wealth of experience in banking which she obtained through working for three different banks across various departments and various positions within the banks. During the time spent in the banking sector Unami got trained through various face to face and online, in house and external courses, including the extensive Foundation for Leadership Development Program which was done through the Goddon Institute of Business School (GIBS) in South Africa. She worked with SMEs in the Southern Region of Zimbabwe which stretches from Beitbridge to Vic Falls and developed lots of the SMEs through advisory and financial services. Unami actively works as an   Advisory Board Member in the Banking Department and at Childline Zimbabwe as well as an Alumni Commttee Member of Thekwane Primary School. She is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Bankers Zimbabwe.

Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) in Banking (NUST)

Institute of Bankers Diploma (IOBZ)

Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education (NUST)

Courses taught

Money and Banking, International Banking, Corporate Finance, Banking Law, Public Sector Finance, Financial Markets, Bank Lending and Risk Management, Treasury Management as well as Banking Information Systems.
