Mrs Ndebele is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Fibre & Polymer Materials Engineering. She joined the department in 2012 as a Teaching Assistant and has served the university on several committees including the External Relations Committee, Research and Intellectual Expo, Science and Technology (RIO-SET). Mrs Ndebele has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals and is also a reviewer for the Zimbabwe Journal of Science and Technology. She is currently a PhD student in the Department specializing in nanocomposite polymer membranes for water treatment and is part of the 2023 Mawazo Fellows Cohort for female PhD students in Africa.  She is a member of the African Materials Research Society (AMRS), the Society for Plastics Engineers (SPE), and the Organisation of Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD). Her research interests are polymer membranes, material composites, sustainable packaging, special effect pigments, and effluent treatment.
