Biography

Lawrence D. Nyathi is member of the Banking and Economic Sciences Department. Upon joining NUST May 2023 he has been a Monitoring and Evaluation Economist at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce for the Government of Zimbabwe. Notably, he holds the distinction of introduction industrial collaborations for second year students that are preparing to go for industrial attachment. The whole idea is expose students for real industrial experience they are going to face in their 3rd year. To date he has published papers with his interest in Health Economics, Agriculture Economics, Behavioural Economics, Industrial Economics and Development Economics. As a new member in the department with a flare of strong economics background his motto is “Economics is everywhere and understanding economics can help you make better decision and lead a happier life.”
