Biography

Lawrence Ncube is a lecturer in the Department of Banking and Economic Sciences, Banking and Investment Management Degree Programme at the National University of Science and Technology(NUST) in Zimbabwe. He currently teaches Marketing of Financial Services and Development Finance modules for second years. Mr Ncube enjoys teaching and research in the financial services. He has researched on the complexities of lending to new farmers without collateral as well as the impact of changing from a Defined Benefit Pension Scheme to a Defined Contribution Scheme (DB-DC). Besides teaching and research he has over 20 years’ accounting, finance, payroll and pension fund administration. Before his appointment to lectureship Mr Ncube was Deputy Bursar responsible for Finance and Administration at the same University. He has a passion for research and is got keen interest on the impact of governance on the financial performance of pension funds as well as the impact of Artificial Intelligence in the financial services sector.
