Biography

Dr Cloudio Chikeya is a highly motivated and experienced finance expert with qualifications and experience in investment analysis, financial markets, corporate financial strategy and banking. He is passionate about imparting knowledge on financial matters to a wide range of audience through lecturing, conducting seminars and consultancy. Apart from lecturing at the National University of Science and Technology in the Department of Finance for over a decade, Cloudio is also an adjunct lecturer at a number of universities and colleges. Cloudio has worked for two years as a Staff Development Fellow at the National University of Science and Technology and subsequently as a lecturer at the same institution. He has done consultancy for non-governmental organisations in Zimbabwe. Currently he sits on the Faculty Board, Higher Degrees Committee and the Departmental Board of Studies. He serves as an external examiner for various universities and is a reviewer of a number of research journals. Cloudio has published articles in peer reviewed journals and presented at local and international conferences.

Community Engagement

Dr Chikeya is the founding patron of NUST Investors Association (NIA) and NUST Microfinance Club. He also mentored CFA Research Challenge Students that participated in Zurich, Switzerland in 2019.In addition, he led NIA students to conduct motivational talks, career guidance and donations to orphanages. Currently he is a member of the Capital Market Development Technical Committee under Zimbabwe Security Exchange Commission.
