Biography

Mr. Joseph Munetsi is a lecturer in the Department of Banking and Economic Sciences. He has worked there from 2017 as a teaching assistant up to 2019. In 2021 he worked as a part-time lecturer and in 2022 he started a full-time contract as a lecturer. He had supervised many undergraduate research projects over the years in the areas of Banking and Economic Sciences. He is a member of the faculty board and departmental board. He exhibits senior leadership experience having served numerous students across multiple schools, coupled with profound expertise in the development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of challenging and inspiring curricula.

Qualifications

He holds an MSc in Banking and Financial Economics from NUST

BCom Honors Degree in Banking (NUST)

Microeconomics

Treasury management

Development Studies.

Research Interests

Macroeconomic policy and design, Economic Development, Corporate Governance, Credit Risk Management and general economics.

Community Engagements

Mr. Munetsi once collaborated with ZHI in carrying out research on growing industries in the Bulawayo Metropolitan Province in 2021- 2022.
