Biography
Sindiso Mpofu, a Lecturer in the Department of Banking and Economic Sciences, brings a wealth of academic experience to the Faculty of Business and Economic Sciences. As an alumnus of the Institution, Sindiso holds an MSc in Banking and Financial Services, a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education, and a B Com Honours in Banking. Her research interests span critical areas such as Financial Inclusion, Microfinance, Investment Banking, and the dynamics faced by Micro-Entrepreneurs. She has published in several journals, enriching scholarly discourse. Beyond her scholarly pursuits, Sindiso is deeply committed to teaching, mentoring, and fostering growth in both young men and women within the department. Inspired by Maya Angelou’s wisdom, her life mantra is: “There is no failure as long as you learn from your experience, continue to work, and press on for success. Sindiso’s unwavering dedication extends to empowering women through education and economic independence. She advocates for gender equality and believes that every woman deserves equal opportunities to thrive. Additionally, Sindiso is on a path to achieving the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification. Having already passed the Level I and II examinations, she exemplifies resilience and determination. With over 15 years of experience in the field, Sindiso Mpofu’s relentless determination and multifaceted contributions make her an invaluable asset to our academic community.
